Presidential Major Disaster Declaration - Tropical Storm Hilary
On November 21, 2023, President Joseph Biden declared a major disaster declaration (FEMA-4750-DR), due to Tropical Storm Hilary that occurred August 19, 2023, and lasted until August 21, 2023.
As a result, the U.S. Department of Agriculture Farm Service Agency Emergency Loan Program has been made available for the primary counties of Imperial, Inyo, Kern, Riverside, and Siskiyou and the contiguous counties of Del Norte, Fresno, Humboldt, Kings, Los Angeles, Modoc, Mono, Orange, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Shasta,Trinity, Tulare, and Ventura in the State of California for both physical and crop production losses.
The Emergency Loan Program provides emergency loans to help producers recover from production and physical losses due to drought, flooding, other natural disasters, or quarantine.

SBA Offers Disaster Assistance to Small Businesses Economically Impacted by the California Salmon Fishery Closure 2023
The U.S. Small Business Administration is offering low-interest federal disaster loans for working capital to small businesses economically impacted by the California Salmon Fishery Closure 2023 that occurred April 6 – Oct. 31.
Applicants may apply online, receive additional disaster assistance information and download applications at SBA.gov/disaster.
Applicants may also call SBA’s Customer Service Center at (800) 659‑2955 or email disastercustomerservice@sba.gov for more information on SBA disaster assistance.
The deadline to apply for economic injury is August 29, 2024.

SBA Offers Rural Disaster Assistance to California Businesses and Residents Affected by the Severe Winter Storms, Straight-line Winds, Flooding, Landslides and Mudslides
Low-interest federal disaster loans are available to California businesses and residents affected by the severe winter storms, straight-line winds, flooding, landslides and mudslides that occurred Feb. 21 – July 10, in Calaveras, Fresno, Inyo, Kings, Marin, Plumas, Santa Barbara and Trinity counties.
SBA has established a Virtual Disaster Loan Outreach Center to provide personalized assistance to business owners, homeowners and renters.
