CalWORKs can help support your family.

California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids, also known as CalWORKs, provides temporary financial assistance and employment-focused services to families.

Families that apply and qualify for ongoing assistance receive money each month to help pay for housing, food and other necessary expenses. Additionally, CalWORKs can provide job assistance, education assistance, and other services even after leaving the program.

CalWORKs families may also qualify for Medi-Cal (Medicaid), CalFresh (Food Stamps or EBT Benefits), and/or WIC - Women, Infants, and Children.
