COVID-19 Vaccine
Question:
I am wanting to register for my 2nd dose at the March 19th PODS. It says if you had a reaction to the first dose you should contact your doctor. I had redness that looked like a spider bite and mild itching at the injection site for 1-2 days after. Does that qualify as an allergic reaction or is that normal?
Answer:

The reactions you described are some of the known side effects (local reactions) with the COVID-19 vaccine and do not prevent you from getting your second dose. Contraindications to a second dose of COVID-19 vaccine would be an allergic reaction to the first dose that included hives or shortness of breath.

Question:
It states on the website you can not get your Covid shot if you have had a vaccine within the last 14 days. I had a shot in my knee by my orthopedic surgeon, a liquid that takes 3 days to turn to a gel cushion for my bone on bone problem. Does this shot count as a vaccine or am I ok to get my second dose as scheduled on the 5th?
Answer:

This is not a vaccine so you are able to get the COVID-19 immunization.
