- February 3, 2021 Update: All Priority Groups have been screened. Letters have all been mailed to licensees that received a license extension. Remaining letters to licensees that did not receive a license extension are being mailed this week.

Cultivation Medium Outdoor (Type III) License Availability – Updated 12/20/19

The Trinity County Code Section 17.43(4)(b)(2) allows fifteen (15) Type III licenses that are available to current Commercial Cannabis Cultivation licensees. To be eligible, the Type III applicant must: 1) be applying to cultivate on a property of 50 acres or more; and 2) Apply for and obtain a Conditional Use Permit. Priority is given to those that hold a valid 2016/2017 Trinity County Commercial Cannabis Cultivation License (CCL) license and who submit completed application by a date determined by the Planning Director.

Currently, the Planning Department Cannabis Division has confirmed interest from the first 15 eligible 2016/2017 CCL holders. At this time all 15 available licensees are reserved. However, please check back for updates on this process.
