Coronavirus (COVID-19) Frequently Asked Questions 2920

Topic:
COVID-19 Vaccine
Question:
Will there be any preference given to essential workers trying to get the vaccine if they are not in the health care industry or a first responder? Or do essential workers have to wait until they are eligible with their age group?
Answer:

With the significant shortage of vaccine the state is trying to prioritize those at greatest risk. With that said TCPHB will be moving to vaccinating all those 65 years of age and older with or without chronic health conditions and all those 64 years of age and younger with chronic health conditions, and all those persons requiring their second dose beginning with the February 11, 2021 mass vaccination PODS. Essential Workers and other critical infrastructure workers will be prioritized in the same way, by age and pre-existing condition until more vaccine becomes available.
