Trinity County is seeking applications and responses to our request for proposal for an attorney at law or a law firm to provide legal services to the Board of Supervisors, Elected and Appointed Officials and County Departments.  We are running the two types (RFP and in-house) of recruitment concurrently in an effort to attract the most qualified individual(s) and provide the county with the best model of representation.

Public Release

In connection with the November 7, 2023 closed session matter involving Significant Exposure to Litigation, One Potential Case, Complaint of Alleged Harassment Against a Member of the Board of Supervisors, the Board of Supervisors, by a unanimous 5-0 vote, authorized the following statement and information for public release:

The Trinity County Veteran Services Office will illuminate the windows of the Trinity County Courthouse with green lighting in support of Operation Green Light for Veterans from November 6th through November 12th. This initiative is a nationwide effort to raise awareness around the unique challenges faced by veterans and their families, and the resources available to assist.

Based upon the tremendous amount of constructive public input during the four public workshops, to include comments received via electronic methods, Trinity County is announcing a new timetable for the overall Cannabis Ordinance Update. 

The Secure Schools and Community Self-Determination Act of 2000 requires that proposals being considered by the Board of Supervisors be given a 45-day public comment period prior to approval, pursuant to Title III of that act.
