How do I enroll to become a new IHSS care provider?
You can contact the IHSS office by calling 530-623-8209 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. You will be receive log in information to enroll in the IHSS Provider Portal to complete the IHSS Provider Enrollment and Orientation process. You will need an email address in order to register for and access the IHSS Provider Portal. Help with creating an email account is available here.
In order to be become a Provider, you must:
- Complete a Provider Application
- Complete a background check
- Sign a Provider Agreement
- Attend an orientation
You will need to provide an original, valid photo ID and social security card.

What if I'm already an IHSS care provider and want to provide services to another recipient?
You can request a supplemental Provider Enrollment Packet via the IHSS Provider Portal. If you do not have your login information, contact the IHSS office by calling 530-623-8209 or via email at email@example.com.
If you move, you must immediately complete a change of address form. If you do not follow these steps, your paycheck will be delayed. You can get a change of address form by calling 530-623-8209, emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org, or you can download it from the CDSS website.
