The Treasurer-Tax Collector is elected for a four-year term and has two primary responsibilities. As the Tax Collector he or she is responsible for collecting taxes on all secured and unsecured property, and collection of transient occupancy taxes. As Treasurer, he or she is responsible for cash management, safeguarding county funds, providing full accountability, maintaining an effective cash flow, and investing idle funds.

Overview of Treasurer Duties:

The Treasurer provides general banking services for all county departments, county schools and special districts. Disburses funds by paying county warrants, electronic payments and electronic payroll. The Treasurer manages the county investment portfolio, while following a safe investment policy and maximizing the county's return on investments.
