Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants – CAPI

The Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants (CAPI) is a California program that provides cash assistance to low-income seniors and persons with disabilities who are not eligible for federal SSI due to their immigration status. Immigrants who are receiving SSI benefits are not eligible for CAPI.

Refugee Cash Assistance – RCA

RCA is a cash assistance program for refugees who are not otherwise eligible for any other cash aid. RCA also includes employment and other social services to assist a refugee in becoming self-sufficient.

Trafficking and Crime Assistance Program – TCVAP

The Trafficking and Crime Victims Assistance Program (TCVAP) provides programs and services to assist eligible non-citizen victims of human trafficking, domestic violence and other serious crimes. In addition to benefits through TCVAP, recipients may also be eligible for services such as employment assistance, job training, and more.

Qualified immigrants include: lawful permanent residents (LPRs); refugees; persons granted asylum, withholding of deportation or withholding of removal, or conditional entry; persons paroled into the U.S. for at least one year; Cuban and Haitian entrants; certain battered spouses and children; and certain victims of trafficking
