Local Oral Health Program (LOHP)

About us

The Trinity County Local Oral Health Program is a grant funded program by the Proposition 56 Research and Prevention Tobacco Tax Act of 2016. This state initiative has a focus on improving oral health for all California Residents, with a focus of providing prevnetative education and resources for families and individuals. Our mission and goals are based off of the 2019 Oral Health Needs Assesment, that was done in collaboration with our partners and the California Center for Rural Policy.

Our Mission

Creating better oral health for the Trinity community of all ages, cultures, and resources by supporting equitable access to oral health prevention, with a special emphasis on the needs of underserved populations.

Our Vision

We are driven by the vision of creating and advancing innovative solutions to ensure that no child suffers from tooth decay and all residents of Trinity County achieve optimal oral health in order to reach their full potential. TCOHAC will lead the way in our county toward policies and local health care systems inclusive of oral health, from payment to care delivery.
