- It's never too late to get vaccinated.
- While even healthy people can get the flu, pregnant women, children under 5, adults over 65, and people with chronic conditions are at high-risk for flu-related complications, and should be vaccinated.
- Take everyday actions to stop the spread of flu; wash hands often, cover coughs and sneezes, and always stay home when sick.

Vaccination is one of the most important public health interventions, saving millions of lives and preventing hundreds of millions of cases of disease. Most deadly childhood diseases are now at their lowest levels, thanks to immunization.
Trinity County Public Health's goal is to ensure all children are vaccinated to protect their health. We encourage parents to vaccinate their children. Trinity County recommends all the Academy of Pediatrics' recommended childhood immunizations. Check with your child's healthcare provider about what vaccines your child(ren) need. Check with your healthcare provider to see if they have vaccines available for your child. If vaccines are not available from your healthcare provider and/or through your insurance, please contact the Public Health Department 530-623-1358.
