Vectors

What's a Vector?

Vectors are living organisms that can carry and transmit infectious pathogens between humans, or between animals and humans, that cause diseases in humans. Some examples of vector-borne diseases are: Lyme Disease, Malaria, West Nile Virus, Dengue, and the Zika Virus.

If you locate any dead birds or wildlife that you suspect to have been killed by disease and you have concerns, do not handle and please email rnewman@trinitycounty.org or call 530-623-1459 to report.
