Health care
- All veterans with a service connected disability rating are eligible for VA health care
- Veterans who served in Vietnam (01/09/1962 - 05/07/1975), or served aboard a ship that operated on the inland waterways of Vietnam and did not receive a dishonorable discharge
- Veterans who served on a vessel operating not more than 12 nautical miles seaward from the demarcation line of the waters of Vietnam and Cambodia and did not receive a dishonorable discharge
Service connected disability compensation presumptive conditions
Veterans who served in the one of the locations listed in the table above and who have been diagnosed with one of the following conditions are likely eligible for service connected disability compensation:
- AL Amyloidosis
- Hypertension
- Ishcemic Heart Disease
- Parkinson's Disease
- Parkinsonism
- Diabetes Mellitus Type 2
- Hypothyroidism
- Cancer
- Bladder
- Chronic B-cell Leukemias
- Multiple Myeloma
- Hodgkin's Disease
- Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma
- Prostate
- Respiratory
- Soft Tissue Sacromas (other than osteosarcoma, chondrosarcoma, Kaposi's sarcoma, or mesothelioma)
- Lung
- Larynx
- Trachea
- Bronchus
- Chloroacne (or similar acneform disease)
- Monoclonal Gammopathy of Undetermined Significance
- Peripheral Neuropathy, early-onset
- Porphyria Cutanea Tarda
Conditions determined by the VA to have NO positive association with Agent Orange:
- Cancers of the oral cavity (including lips and tongue), pharynx (including tonsils), and nasal cavity (including ears and sinuses)
- Cancers of the pleura, mediastinum, and other unspecified sites within the respiratory system and intrathoracic organs
- Cancers of the digestive organs (esophageal cancer, stomach cancer, colorectal cancer, including small intestine and anus)
- Hepatobiliary cancers (liver, gallbladder and bile ducts), and pancreatic cancer
- Bone and connective tissue cancer
- Melanoma
- Nonmelanoma skin cancer (basal cell and squamous cell)
- Cancers of the reproductive organs (cervix, uterus, ovary, testes, and penis, but excluding prostate cancer)
- Renal cancer (kidney and renal pelvis)
- Cancers of the brain and nervous system (including eye)
- Endocrine cancers (including thyroid and tymus)
- Leukemia (other than all chronic B-cell leukemias, including chronic lymphocytic leukemia and hairy cell leukemia)
- Neurobehavioral disorders (cognitive and neuropsychiatric)
- Neurodegenerative diseases (including amyotrophinc lateral sclerosis, but excluding Parkinson's disease and Parkonsonism)
