Databases

The Library provides access to several databases such as the Gale Virtual Reference Library, the Library To Go e-book collection, Enki digital e-Books, the California Libraries Catalog and JobScout. Enter your library barcode number and your PIN (the last 4 digits of your barcode number) if prompted and click on Proceed. Alternately, you may need to set up an account for some of these databases.

Gale Virtual Reference Database includes Grzimek’s Animal Life Encyclopedia, Fashion, Culture and Costume Encyclopedia, Gale Encyclopedia of Everyday Law, West’s Encyclopedia of American Law, and several medical and health encyclopedias. Type in your library barcode number to access this database.

Library To Go provides access to our downloadable e-book and audiobook collection. You will need to type in your library barcode number to access this resource.

Enki is our newest digital platform. It is owned by a consortium of California libraries, with content purchased directly from independent publishers.

California Libraries Catalog allows you to search for books in other California libraries. Most libraries will not loan “new” books published within the last year, media or reference items. If you locate an item you would like to borrow from another library, please check at the circulation desk  for an interlibrary loan request form.

JobScout is our newest addition, an online learning platform that teaches you the basic Internet skills to find a job. It will quickly walk you through setting up an account in order to use this valuable resource.
