DONATIONS
Donating books and media to the library is a great way to support us. We always welcome gently used recent items that can be added to our collection or sold through our ongoing book sale. We particularly need:
- Books published in the last 5 years
- Recent bestsellers
- Clean copies of “classic” titles
- Titles on local or regional history
- Cookbooks
Unfortunately we cannot accept:
- Books in poor condition (dusty, moldy, yellowed pages, broken bindings)
- Textbooks
- Reader’s Digest Condensed books
- Books with dated information & presentation (black & white illustrations, old encyclopedia sets, etc.)
Once donated, the items become the property of the Trinity County Library. Receipts are available and will note the number of items donated. A determination of the fair market value of the donated materials will be the responsibility of the donor. Please contact the Weaverville Library at 623-1373 or the Hayfork Library at 628-5427 to arrange for your donations or if you have any questions about donating books.
